FOX 17 News is tracking the potential to move into a Code Red weather alert for Wednesday evening storms.

Right now, many counties in middle Tennessee are under a marginal risk for severe weather.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon.

If anything, these storms will be brief and isolated Wednesday afternoon, but there is moisture and warm air in place for a few to become strong.
