South African penguins are endangered, and Ripley’s helps with the conservation efforts and species survival plan.
"We do have our two chicks that were born here. We're part of that species survival plan that helps create those numbers since they are endangered out in the wild. So, we have Plyler and Edgerton. So, we're super excited to have our babies," said Alex McMinn, Ripley's Entertainment Marketing Coordinator.
A portion of each Paint with Penguins painting sold is donated to the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds, which is a non-profit seabird rehabilitation center in Cape Town, South Africa.
