NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- It's all about the horses and the hats at The Iroquois Steeplechase in Nashville.
Thousands saddled in Saturday at Percy Warner Park for the sport, fashion and entertainment of it all. Much of the tailgating areas, private and party tents and box seats at the 82nd anniversary of this year's Steeplechase were sold out.
Snap Decision had a chance for a historic three-peat, but fell short, coming in second. Scaramanga won the Iroquois.
The National Steeplechase Association posted all the winners from the seven races.
The event benefits the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
